Day 90/366

Been busy helping the parents move and not being able to fully process all the, (what I can only imagine are amazing DC images) is killing me.

So I have to try and find little bits of photographic inspiration. I have had to resort to drinking Starbucks on this trip, and after having been exposed to some amazing coffee in Seattle other than Starbucks it pains me to drink their over roasted coffee. And not wanting to promote them In an image that will live on forever, I decided to shoot some tea.

I promise after I get home on the 3rd, there will be a bunch of much better images on the horizon. Plus I have lots of stuff in the works.

Day 89/366

Was a very busy day moving the family. But the skies cleared at the end of the day. Loving the sunshine. Will finish tomorrow, then doing some sightseeing on Saturday. Then off to the Big Apple. Then home on Tuesday. Having a wonderful time but excited about getting home and getting busy executing all these new ideas.

Day 85/366 / Day 2 of Photoshop World Vegas

Man what a great second day. I was shooting so much and in so many awesome classes. This is what #Photoshop World is all about. So many great instructors and just great people in general. You really get out of it what you put into it. So today's pic is from the Expo floor, +Westcott Lighting puts on a fantastic lighting setup, where you can come up and they have models there most of the day and they are well lit with cool concepts, so what could be easier. Of course even if i got a phenomenal photo this would not be something i would ever put in my portfolio for the simple factor that its not my idea. I am just framing and snapping. But it's a perfect image for G+. This was with my Canon 7D and rocking the 85 1.2 Lens. Which almost feels like cheating because it makes anything look better. But after shooting with the Canon 5d MKIII, That 85 1.2 lens got bumped down the list 1 slot.
Anyway, this a was a very cool model and i like the her look.
For all those that are following me, I do want to thank you for giving me your time. I hope you are getting something out of my daily pics. And please if anyone has any questions about equipment or what iOS App was used to process the image, please ask. I truly want this to be a social place. I have lots of great images coming up, but since i only have my fairly old macbook pro, they will probably wait until i get home to process them. So stay tuned.

Day 83/366

PreCon day at Photoshop World is a wrap. This city has some cool textures in the Metro Stations. This is a shot of the roof. Leading lines galore.

Tomorrow the Conference begins.

Day 82/366

We walked all over the place in the National Mall area of Washington DC. This was the Jefferson Memorial. Pretty crowded even at 9:30 at night. So I wanted to try and get a unique angle and still have it be recognizable.

Day 74/366

"You talkin to me?"

Day 81/366

So during my flight my iPad decided to freak out. And the nearest apple store was in Atlantic City. It was still under warranty and they replaced it without question. The Boardwalk was foggy and thought this would make a cool pic. I leave for DC from New Jersey tomorrow. Can't wait to see everyone and shoot the Nations Capital. It's gonna be Epic.

Day 79/366

The sun decided to peak out during what will be my last West Coast Sunset for 2 weeks. So I figured I would capture it. I am of to the East Coast tomorrow. So the daily pics should have a different feel. We shall see.

Day 73/366

A friend of mine Cory, participates in The Highland Games. He was kind enough to let me shoot some pics of him.
I shot him in my Studio and shot the background at a local abandoned insane asylum. He hasn't even seen this picture and the only place he follows me is on Facebook, so i thought i would post it here and on Google+. I will post it to FB on Saturday after i give him his framed gift.

Day 75/366

This was from the first shoot i got to do with my Beauty Dish. This is my Niece Madison. Seeing as i haven't worked with too many models, i figured i would start off with someone i was familiar with. I was more interested in playing with the lighting, and still need some work with the Posing, but i am planning many people shoots in the future to get better.
This was shot with a Beauty Dish over head and a Speedlight with a red gel behind to illuminate her.

Day 72/366

I thought while doing my photos I could also give some informative advice about what equipment I use. So today's picture is of the Rechargeable Batteries that I like to use. The Eneloop batteries are great and very reliable. So if you're looking for rechargeable batteries, give these a shot.

Day 67/366

I live in a town that has many marinas and boat yards, there is one I drive by everyday that always has different boats pulled in for repair. A friend of mine knew the owner and introduced me, so I have the opportunity to go and shoot when ever I want.

There was this really big blue boat that I thought would be great in a pic, I took my 10-22 lens and walked right up to the front of the boat.

This is the result.

Thanks for stopping by

Day 66/366

"Leading Power Lines"

There is a lot of Power in Leading Lines, and these are Leading Power Lines, so how could you go wrong.

Today was a great day, Very Clear. Cold, but clear, i went down to the Harbor area to walk around and look for my Daily Image. i was actually heading down to try and get a cool shot of that boat right there on the right, but there were a bunch of fences around it, but while i was there I looked up, which i try to do more often. and saw these cool power lines. And i really like the Red Flag in the center of the shot, a nice little accent of color.

Hope you like.

Thanks for stopping by.

Day 65/366

"Trifecta"

I have decided when appropriate, I shall name my images.
This Image captures 3 things that are new to me.

1. Book Case: So I decided that the Book Case in my closet was sub-par and falling apart and needed to be replaced. When the top shelf is bowing so much that it rests on the second row of books, I think that bookshelf is failing to do its job. So I decided i wanted to build my own. I designed it and luckily live next door to a neighbor that has every tool known to man. Which made the process very easy.

2: The Sunset: now while i have seen sunset before, tonights was new, as will every nights be new and unique. And since i didn't want to just snap a landscape shot of it like i have plenty of times before, So i decided to incorporate and utilize different things.

3: Lastolite Reflector: In the mail today i received my new Lastolite Reflector, so i used it to bounce the Sunset back into my newly made Book Case.

Thus completing the Trifecta.

366 Project: February

Hello everyone

I know I said I would post here more often, I have been posting more over on the Social Networks, and for some reason feel like my posts here need to be more substantial than over on G+ and Facebook.

We are beginning the 3rd month of the year and I have to date, posted an image everyday. so I am pretty proud of myself.

Maybe for 2013 I will post everyday to the blog. Is there such a thing as a Half Years Resolution, instead of a New Years Resolution.  Well if there is, then I may try and post from June to December. but I am making no promises.

Anyway enough rambling, back to the issue at hand. I do apologize for showing 29 images all at once. It is better to see them one a day, so you can digest them.

Here you go, home ou enjoy at least some of them. would love to here any thoughts.

Happy March everyone.
